Obituary for William Patrick O'Connor
William Patrick O’Connor died suddenly at home in Napa on May 16, 2014. William is the son of the late John Louis O’Connor and Florence Wilma O’Connor (Nelson). He was born July 22, 1959 in Napa and attended schools in Napa. His lifetime work history included; Sawyer Tannery in Napa, a body and fender repairman worked in the winery industry, both in Napa and Santa Rosa, worked for a slurry company and was a house painter. He is a descendant of John Wooden for whom Wooden Valley was named. He is survived by his mother, Florence; sister, Ellen Grimm (O’Connor); brother-in-law, Kenneth Grimm; cousins, Michael (Sandra) Jones of Reno, NV, John (Mabel) Batto, Paul (Dixie) Batto, Helen Shelton (Holmes) all of Napa, CA, Roger Nelson of WV and Roberta Krapf (Nelson) of Martinez, Bruce (Sandy) Baracco of Sutter Creek, CA, Alan (Linda) Baracco of Cameron Park, CA and Larry (Mary) Baracco of Napa, CA; nephews, Kenneth E. Dixon and Kenneth W. Grimm; nieces, Virginia L. Duckworth (Grimm) and Sandra K. Messler (Grimm); great nephews and nieces and long-time friend and confidant, Elizabeth White of Ammon, ID. Memorial Service will be held at Dixon United Methodist Church, 209 N. Jefferson St., Dixon, CA on Saturday, May 31st at 11:00am.
