Obituary for Eleanor H. 'Hettie' Hoff
Born April 22, 1917 in Freeport, IL to Paul and Lillian Hettinger. Passed away in Vacaville after a short illness on May 8. She moved to Vacaville in 1955 with her husband Fred and children from Hingham, Mass. Hettie was working as a secretary at Savannah Army Ordinance Depot in Ill, when she met and married her husband Fred, who was working as an engineer. Hettie was an accomplished oil and watercolor artist and an enthusiastic member of the Vacaville Art League. She was an avid gardener and totally enjoyed her yard and garden. She enjoyed the Saturday Club and was a long time member of the Community Presbyterian Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Fred, and her son, Eric. She is survived by her children, Douglas of Vacaville, David of Upland, and Laura of Santa Monica. Also, granddaughter, Erica and great granddaughter, Emma. Viewing is Tuesday, May 13 from 5 to 8 p.m., at McCune Garden Chapel. Graveside service and interment at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery, Wednesday, May 14 at 2 p.m.
