Obituary for Verneita May Cuellar Brown Garrison
Verneita May was born Dec. 31, 1940 in Napa, Calif., but Vacaville was her home for the last sixty years. On July 11, our Sissy left us to join her beloved mother, Marveline Crist and stepfather Dale Crist, and her beloved father, Elmer May and stepmother Mary May, as well as husbands Ken Brown and Ted Garrison. She is survived by daughter, Terry Murphy, granddaughters Hannah, Megan, and grandson Brennan of Colfax; son Tony Cuellar of Sacramento, and granddaughter LeAnn of Vacaville and grandson Michael of Utah. Her two great-grandsons, Coen and Rhys, of Vacaville were the great joy of her life. She is also survived by siblings Patricia Alshuth (Sieg) of Roseburg, Ore.; Jim May (Kim) of Pittsburg, Pa.; Bill May (Kathy) of Vacaville; Della Frescas (Al) of Sacramento; Dale Crist (Anita) of Vacaville; Linda Nelson (Kevin), of Shelton, Wash.; and Beverly Siri (Richard), of Santa Rosa. Additionally there are numerous nieces and nephews.Also left behind are her best friends for life, Annette White and Virginia Greer. A visitation will be held today, from 5 -7 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel. A funeral will be held Wednesday, July 14, at 10 a.m. also at McCune Garden Chapel followed by a graveside service at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. The Reverend Dr. Su Schlagel will officiate.
