Peggy Jean Morgan of Vacaville, passed away on August 30 of complications from cancer. She was 75 years old. Peggy was born March 26, 1934 to Jessie Lucille Stokes Holloway in Coffeyville Kansas. As a young girls she was adopted by her grandparents, Cora and Elmer Stokes and raised in Coffeyville. She graduated from Field Kindly High School in 1952 and married Tommy L. Morgan on January 12, 1956. Together they raised three daughters, and as an Air Force family they traveled the world together. Living in Minnesota, Mississippi, Texas, Montana, California, Italy and England. Peggy and Tom have lived in Vacaville since 1977. Peggy retired as a telephone operator and was employed byt he telephone company in Kansas, Minnesota, Montana and California. She was employed for many years by Pacific Bell. She was a member of the Vacaville, Friends of the Library.
Peggy and Tom enjoyed traveling together and trips to Canada, England and Switzerland were some of their favorites. A Highlight of their travels was a trip to the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona Spain.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tom Morgan; daughter Maria Morgan and son-in-law Rich McCauley of Sunnyvale, CA; daughters Teresa Morgan of Vallejo, CA and Vicki Morgan of Vacaville, CA; two granddaughters, Kaliva Morgan of Vallejo and Kaelyn McCauley of Sunnyvale; in laws, Betty and Leo Myers of Wichita, KS and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Sept 2 from 4-7PM at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St., Vacaville, CA A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10AM with burial to follow at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery at 12:30PM
