Obituary for Everett William Roush
Everett W Roush passed away at the age of 91 peacefully on 10/08/2021.He was born in Atwater, Minnesota, his family were itinerant farmers and they moved frequently between Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota. In 1953 he joined the Air Force and earned the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan. While there he met and fell in love with Shizuko Izumi, they married in 1953 and were transferred to Travis AFB. After discharged from the Military, he moved to Vacaville and went to work for the City of Vacaville at the Water Department, at nights he worked at the United State Post Office. In 1968 he started his own plumbing repair business, Roush Enterprises, 8 years later he opened a retail plumbing shop, Everett and Shizu operated both for over 45 years .He trained many employees, who eventually opened their own Plumbing businesses. He loved collecting old car and tractors. Everett is survived by wife, Shizuko, Son Frank, Daughters: Karen Fanning ( Charlie), Vickie and her son Jessy (who he raised as a son) Kimmi ( Mike) Meyers : Grandchildren : Jim Young, Chris Young, Jennifer Blandford, Joshua Meyers, Joanah Meyers : Great grandchildren: Maddie Young, Jimmy Young and Ezra Blandford and his beloved Shih Tzu Roxy. Everett was preceded in death by sons: James and Everett Jr, and grandson Johnny.
