Obituary for William 'Bill' Roberts Hirschberg
William R. Hirschberg passed away April 29 of natural causes. Bill was born Sept. 3, 1921, the son of Judge William S. and Margaret Hirschberg. He attended the Choate School and Brown University. He served with the American Field Service and U.S. Army during World War II. Bill was associated with the law firm Hirschberg, Pettengill and Strong for 40 years and was a member of the RTM in Greenwich, Conn., for two terms. He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Kitty. He is survived by his daughters, Kalo (Lee) Heldt and Ellen (Jim) Geier; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Greenwich, Conn., and lived at Paradise Valley the last three years. He loved the beach, baseball, tennis and his vegetable garden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NorthBay Hospice, 4500 Business Center Drive, Fairfield, CA 94534.
