Obituary for William "Bill" Frank Rudolph
Our beloved Bill passed away peacefully in his own home surrounded by family on August 5, 2018, at the age of 99. Bill was born in Forest City, Pennsylvania, where he grew up with his 4 sisters and 2 brothers. After graduating from Forest City High School, he enlisted into the Army Air Corp / Air Force in 1941. He then married his lifelong love, Joyce, in 1949. He served his country for 32 years as an aircraft mechanic, instructor, navigator, and crew chief. He then went on to achieve a degree in Horticulture from Solano Community College. Bill brought great joy to his family with his caring nature. He enjoyed family, traveling, gardening, and ballroom dancing. He was a devoted husband for 69 years, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Bill loved family, God and his country. He will be sorely missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, 2 sons, Mike and Greg, and their families. Friends and family are invited to the memorial service on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 9:30 am at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1791 Marshall Road, Vacaville. A military memorial will follow at 11:30 am at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon CA.
