Obituary for William “Bill” Clarence Davenport
William Bill Clarence Davenport was born in Beloit, WI on Aug. 11, 1933 and passed away on Nov. 3, 2011. His parents were William Howard and Olive (Reynolds) Davenport. Bill went to Beloit schools and graduated from Beloit High School in 1952. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1953 serving in many countries until 1973 when in retired in Fairfield, CA. He married Marlene McDaniels in Tampa, FL and later married Jean Osborne in Homestead, FL. Bill is survived by a son, William Clarence Davenport, Jr. (wife Teresa) of Murfreesboro, TN; step children, Royce Osborne, Suzanne Lane of Dixon, Carolyn Gutierrez of Whittier, NC, Audrey Roberson of Dunkirk, NY and September Owens of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Jacquelyn Moore of Beloit, WI and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many cousins. His maternal and paternal parents and many relatives predeceased him and brother-in-law James Moore. A memorial and burial service with military honors will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m., Pastor Barry Carrol will officiate.
