Obituary for Wayne Ralph Nease
Wayne Ralph Nease, of Winters, passed away on June 3, of old age. He was 91-and-a-half years young. Wayne was born in Mankato, Kansas to Will and Myrtle Nease on Feb. 5, 1919. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate, 1st Class, during World War II. He was stationed in the South Pacific on light destroyer, USS Astoria. After the Navy, Wayne worked as an auto mechanic for 47 years before retiring in 1986.Wayne is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Inderbitzen and Judy Nease-Womack (Paul); son and daughter-in-law, Michael Nease (Jennifer); grandchildren, Debbie and Stuart Davidson, Julie and Mat Mustard, Michael and Kelly Nease, Alyson and Jeff Greatorex, Todd Nease, John, Joseph and James Womack; great-grandchildren, Grace and Travis Davidson, Luke and Elizabeth Mustard, Justin and Jeremy Greatorex and Kenzy Nease. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn Nease; parents Will and Myrtle Nease; sister Wilma Sleeper; brother Joseph and brother-in-law Vernon Inderbitzen.A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, at Silveyville Cemetery, 800 S. First St. in Dixon. The Reverend Catharine Morris will officiate. Donations can be made in Waynes name to Yolo Hospice, 1909 Galileo Ct., Ste. A, Davis, Calif., 95618.
