Obituary for Warren DeFields Rollin
Warren DeFields Rollin was born on Aug. 6, 1923 to Fred Slater and Alvernan Pauline (DeFields) Rollin in Penfield, OH. He married Jeanne Marie Jones of LaGrange, OH on Aug. 12, 1944 in Napolean, OH. They were married 68 years. Dad joined Mom in heaven on Aug. 27. Warren attended and graduated from Penfield School and was a dairy farmer with his father and family. He also was an Insurance Salesman for Wooster Reserve Insurance Company and worked for Columbia Gas as a Serviceman for 15 years. Warren was a 60+ year member of the Masons. In 1974 Warren and Jeanne moved to Dixon to be close to their children. Warren had his own plumbing, repair business for several years until he went to work for Dixon Hardware and then Pacific Hardware in Vacaville. He retired in 2008. Warren enjoyed adventures and taking trips across the country to see relatives and friends. Always ready for a ride anywhere. He is survived by five children, William Rollin, Lynn and Judy Rollin, Jennifer and Kevin Oakley, all of Vacaville, Brian and Carmen Rollin of San Antonio, TX and Fred Rollin of Dixon. He leaves behind grand-children, Bill Rollin, Dawn (Rollin) Davis, Sarah (Oakley) Milligan, Christian Oakley, Adrian Acosta, Cassandra Rollin, Adam Rollin, and Danny and Edward Rollin. Also 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Rollin on Oct. 12, 2012; his parents; son, Kenneth Jones Rollin and his sister, Josephine DeLozier. A joint Memorial service for our parents will be held on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 11 a.m., at Valley Church, 5063 Maple Road, Vacaville 95687. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Valley Missionary Ministry.
