Vivian Stegall, 78, passed away January 24 in Vacaville.
Vivian loved learning. She pursued her Master’s Degree and was a practicing art therapist for many years. Her practice supported children and families in her community. Bob was an avid racer. They spent many years on the track, and she often reflected on how much she loved those days with him. Vivian went back to school after the pandemic, taking Music Theory classes at Solano Community College. She sang in the choir at Solano Community College and St Josephs. She also was a cantor at St Josephs. She was a philanthropist of the arts locally, a supporter of community service entities like Meals on Wheels, as well as children’s aid projects around the world.
Vivian will always be remembered for her extreme intelligence, love of music and singing, continuously learning, loving all children and being a professional counselor. Vivian had an infectious smile, love of her husband Bob, her devotion to her church St Joseph’s.
Vivian was blessed with a large extended family: nieces Patricia, Jasmine, and Karissa, her nephew Damian. The Stegall nieces and nephew include Helen, Phyllis, Lawrence. The Stegall/Phelps nephews and nieces include Kevin, Michael, Laura, and Kate. There are numerous great nieces and nephews from both blood and married relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Philip Stegall, her parents Rudolph Clarence and Josephine Rita Bujanda, and her brother Damian Bujanda.
Vivian always wanted to share in her joy and not sorrow. Vivian was kind and will be terribly missed by her family and friends.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 21st at 11:00am at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery and Memorial Mass at 2:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
