Obituary for Virginia Roszkos
Virginia Roszkos “Aunt Ginny” “Nonnie”, 98, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, May 31, after a short illness. Virginia was born on December 18, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling, bingo, cards, crossword puzzles, watching the Cubs play and most of all spending time with her family. In 2016 Virginia witnessed her beloved Chicago Cubs win the World Series, a lifelong dream of hers, which she got to share with 3 generations of Cub fans; this was truly a momentous occasion. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, of 64 years, Joseph Roszkos, and by her son, Roy Moger. She is survived by her sons Brian Moger of Vacaville, CA, Ronald Wallwin and wife Beryl of Sutter, CA.; daughter- in-law, Laura Hansen and husband Scott of Moorpark, CA.; grandchildren, Dana Limanen and husband Keith of Las Vegas, NV; Dawn Withrow and husband Jason of Grass Valley, CA; Jesse Moger and wife Brianna of Ontario, CA; Andrew Moger of Moorpark, CA, Joseph Wallwin of Illinois; great- grandchildren, Taylor, Makenzie, Alexis, Reece, Jordan, Tatiana, Naomi, Violet, Marlee, Camille; great- great grandchildren, Addison, Riley; nieces, Bonnie Boton and family of Illinois, Tina Martin and family of Illinois; nephews, Kevin Moger of Illinois, Kerry Moger of the Philippines, Bob Roszkos of San Diego, CA, David Roszkos of Vallejo, CA; longtime friends June Bessert and family of Illinois, Barbara and Gene Ospital of Burney, Ca. Aunt Ginny wished all to remember that family is dear and to be held close. She will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on August 11 at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St. Vacaville, 448-6546.
