Obituary for Thomas James Lee
이성균 Thomas James Lee, 70, of Sacramento, CA passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his daughter and son-in-law’s home in Walnut Creek, CA. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Thomas was born on May 25, 1951 in Hadong, a small southern town in South Korea. In 1977, Thomas served as a Cannon Crewman and as an Administrative Specialist for the US Army. Thomas’s older sister, Kwong Reece and brother-in-law, Ken Reece, helped move Thomas, his wife and first child to the United States on January 23, 1980.
Thomas was a successful insurance broker, obtaining his license in 1988 with Prudential Insurance, where he retired in 2020. He loved serving his clients in the Sacramento area, especially those in the local Korean community. He had many friends and served as an active member of Ark Mission Presbyterian Church, Sacramento Korean Presbyterian Church, and the Lions Club of Sacramento.
Thomas loved spending time on the golf course, sharing meals with family and friends, and playing with his grandchildren. He spent his last days surrounded by friends and family.
He leaves behind his wife, Mia Lee; three daughters, Lisa Murray, Jessica Lee and Jully Kim; and six grandchildren, Morgan, Hunter, Caleb, Gideon, Kaiya and Hendrix.
A celebration of life will be held on April 7th, 2022 at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville, CA at 9:00 AM.
