Obituary for Susan Carpenter Webb
Sue was born on Nov. 12, 1927 to Milton and Sadie Carpenter in Dixon, Calif. She grew up in Dixon and attended UC Davis. Sue worked at the Solano County Recorders Office, and then for the Dixon Unified School District until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary of the American Legion and the Dixon Historical Society. She was also an avid competitor in the Senior Olympics. Sue was the definition of unconditional love and no one knew that better than her children. The greatest joys in her life where her children and grandchildren. Often you would see Sue with a car load of her grandkids and their friends taking them to either a sporting event, swimming on hot summer days, or over to the Frosty for a quick lunch. She enjoyed gardening, socializing with her friends and family, and summer vacations in Lake Tahoe. Sue entered into rest on Nov. 28, 2011 where was reunited with the love of her life, Spido Webb, after 6 years apart. In addition to her husband Spido, Sue was preceded in death by her mother Sadie Carpenter, her father Milton Carpenter III, her sister Betty-Mae Carpenter-Goodin, and her brother Milton Carpenter IV. She is survived by her daughter Fran Webb Boone and her husband Mark, of Dixon, her sons Bill Webb, of Dixon, and David Webb, of Carson City. Her grandchildren Misty Webb, Tanya Webb, Jeanna Ruiz, Willy Webb, Ciera Webb, Brian Webb, Schyler Boone, Brayden Boone, Ame'e Webb, Cody Webb, and Spencer Webb, her great-grandchildren Joseph Ruiz, Jerry Ruiz Jr., Chase Ruiz, and Emma Webb. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews who will remember her as a fun-loving aunt. A viewing will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Milton Carpenter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. at the Dixon Community Church with a graveside service to follow at the Silveyville Cemetery
