Obituary for Socorro Cervantes de Patiño
Socorro Maria Cervantes de Patino, age 93 was granted her angel wings on November 11th 2016. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Socorro had touched in someway throughout her long yet very memorable life.
Socorro was born in San Ignacio, Jalisco, Mexico on June 27th 1923, where she met and married her late husband Ramon Cervantes. They came to the United States in 1958 and settled in Dixon California.
Socorro worked various jobs throughout her long life, (Milk Farm and Hunts Cannery), in 1976 she and Ramon started a new career in the restaurant business. They leased and managed George’s Orange for 5 years then purchased Los Altos Restaurant which they owned and operated for 21 years. Socorro was well known in the community for her love of cooking which was enjoyed by all.
Socorro’s greatest love was spending time with her family, cooking and crocheting. Her warm smile, wonderful sense of humor and generosity will be greatly missed.
She is survived and will be missed by her 5 children, Alfredo Cervantes (Agie), Letty Ruiz (Conrad), Ana Crittenden (Jerry), Sandi Gullock (John), Ramon Cervantes, Jr (Amey).
Grandchildren, Teresa Cervantes (Dan), Patty Cervantes (Alan), Jennifer Mendes (Mike), Stefanie Zoccoli (Chris), Vanessa Guiney (Brian) ,Jeremey Crittenden, Joseph, Samuel and Evan Cervantes, Jake Craven and Zachary Kolos-Furman.
Great Granchildren: Madison Mendes, Nickolas and Gia Zoccoli, Brendan and Cian Guiney.
