Obituary for Sally J. (Tesman) Wood
Sally J. Wood passed away on Sunday at 12:45 a.m. after a short illness. She was born April 29, 1943 at Mt. Pleasant, Mich. She was the daughter of Leo Ezra Tesman and Gladys Edna Mott Tesman. She lived in Coleman Mich. until the 60s then moved to San Francisco, CA. She later moved to Vacaville, CA and worked at Travis Air Force Base as a Secretary. She retired with 24 years of Federal Civilian Service on Oct. 3, 2008. She met her husband Tim in church January 1992 and was married Sept. 12, 1992. Sally enjoyed drawing and photographing, but her greatest desire was worshiping God and serving Him in all ways He asked. She had many close friends, many whom come to visit, pray and sing to her transition to be with the Lord. All will miss her gentle sweet spirit. She is survived by her husband Pastor Timothy Wood of Vacaville; older sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Bob Hardin of Saginaw, Mich; her other sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lee and Murphy Mathews of Lansing, Mich.; and brother, Richard L Tesman of Alma, Mich; also numerous nieces and nephews in Michigan, Ohio and Arizona and numerous friends in Vacaville and throughout Michigan. A step son Ronald Wood wife Elaine Wood, a Step grandson, Daniel Wood and a step granddaughter, Hailey Wood of Wenatchee, Wash; a step granddaughter and husband, Jessica and Jerry Rohde; 3 great-granddaughters of Vallejo.Pastor David Swaim will hold the Memorial Service Thursday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. at Restoration of Souls church at Sunrise Worship Center, 620 Orange Drive, Vacaville.
