He was the first of 7 siblings; Mike, Jimmy, Ruben, Ricardo, Hector, and Lupita. The family immigrated to the United States when Rosendo was 14, and resided in Bisbee, AZ. Later the family moved to Tagus Ranch near Tulare. There, Rosendo attended High School and on weekends and summer vacation helped the family working hard in the orchards and berry crops. This served him well later in his life. The family then moved to Liberty Island where, through his father, he was introduced to Farm Labor Contracting. After a couple of years at Liberty Farms, he married Julieta on December 30, 1951, in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. It was not long after, they had five children. He remained at Liberty Farms Company until his desire to follow in his father’s footsteps came to be in 1962. He and his brother, Mike, formed Mayoral Brothers Farm Labor Contractors. They supplied farm workers to the tenant farmers for Liberty Farms Company. They followed the farmers into Dixon, where they then built their reputation by helping thousands of workers and their families while providing quality workers for farmers and businesses. Mike passed away and Rosendo continued the business, which is now being carried on by his granddaughter Joanna. He was a big supporter of Toys for Tots and donated labor and money to build the little league park in Dixon.
