Obituary for Rodney W. 'Rod' Baker
Rodney W. Baker of Dixon passed away March 10 at Kaiser Vacaville. He was 76 years old. Rod was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Lang Lois, Oregon. He worked as a pharmacist at Days Pharmacy in Winters for 25 years and B + L Printing in Dixon for 20 years. Rod was also involved in the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, the American Newmismatic Society, various coin clubs, and Mensa. He is survived by his daughter, Juliann Andrews, son and daughter-in-law, DeWayne and Beth Baker, sisters Wanda Donati and Carrie Jacobus and eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Hillary, Zachary, Jillian and Abigail Andrews and Joshua, Kayla and Cassandra Baker. He was preceded in death by two wives, Sandra M. Baker and Martha Baker and parents Melvin and Edna Baker. Visitation will be Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main Street, in Vacaville. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Masonic Temple, 1655 Da Vinci Court, in Davis. Richard Stall, funeral master, and Bernard Sanders, chaplain, will officiate. A graveside service will be at the Winters Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rod¹s name can be sent to the Masonic Homes of California, Grand Lodge of California Office of Philanthropy, 1111 California St., in San Francisco, 94108.
