Obituary for Robert Duane Teeter
Robert. D. Teeter age 77, passed away on Tuesday December 19th, 2017 at UC Davis Medical Center, in Sacramento Ca.
Robert is survived by his wife Yaeko Teeter and his daughters Toni Maderis, Marcia Faulkner. His eldest daughter Nancy Price is deceased and will be welcoming him as he joins her in Heaven. Robert was also a proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Chantal Powell, Nick Price, Brandon Price, Sierra Faulkner and Josh Maderis. He grew up in Owosso Michigan and was the eldest son of David and Toni Teeter. He has a surviving younger brother Gary Teeter.
Robert was a 20 year Veteran of the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman, he served 2 years in the Vietnam War. Once retired from the military he worked 22 faithful years for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 2003.
Robert and his wife Yaeko are 34 year residents of Dixon Ca. He enjoyed his retirement years with his beautiful wife Yaeko, they had 55 loving years of marriage together. When he wasn’t spending time with family he followed his passion as an avid hunter and fisherman. One thing is clear, he certainly enjoyed retirement life and he lived his days doing what he loved. I can just hear him now expressing how much he appreciated his “6 Saturdays and a Sunday.” Those days we shared with him brought many laughs that will not soon be forgotten. Every heart he has touched will be forever impacted for the better; we will miss your presence and are thankful for the cherished memories. Rest in Peace old man; we love you and we’ll meet you on the other side.
A Memorial in his honor as we lay him down to rest will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, on Friday January 5th 10am in Dixon, Ca.
