Obituary for Robert "Bob" Michael Maldonado
Robert (Bob) Michael Maldonado, 76, of Hacienda Heights, CA, passed away on December 23, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona.
Bob was born in Los Angeles, CA to Joe & Penny Maldonado on October 28, 1942. He went through 12 years of Catholic school in Montebello, CA. He served in the Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He married Kathleen Castro on March 5, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA. Bob attended college in Alaska and San Bernardino, CA. He worked as a transportation supervisor for Perfect Photo, Inc, changed careers, and owned/operated Maldonado Auto Leasing. Bob was a member of the Elks Club, and multiple bowling leagues.
Bob is survived by his spouse, Kathleen “Katie” Maldonado, daughter Renee (Michael) Fong, son Glenn Maldonado, granddaughter Danyel Fong, grandsons Brandon and Alex Fong, brother Rick (Linda) Maldonado, sister Chris (Mike) Barnes, close friend Lynne Swartz, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many close lifelong friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his first born son Michael Robert Maldonado, parents, Joe F and Hattie “Penny” Maldonado, and sister, Lorene J Maldonado.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10am - 12pm with a rosary at 11:30am at McCune Garden Chapel. A Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 12pm. A graveside service will follow at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
Arrangements are under the care of McCune Garden Chapel.
