Obituary for Richard 'Rick' Lee Pentz Sr.
Born March 31, 1947 in Chico, Ca. He graduated from El Dorado High School in Placerville, Ca. in 1966. Rick then attended Sacramento City college from 1966-1968 and enlisted in the Army, June 12, 1968. During his time in the Army, he was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Ayers Kaserne, Germany. He was discharged in June 1971 from the 3rd Armored division at the rank of Spec-5. In 1972 he became a truck driver with his brother at Pentz Trucking in Vacaville, Ca until 1996. He then began driving for Lange Trucking, in Oakland Ca where he worked until his passing. He was proceeded in death by his parents; Robert and Hilda, his brothers; Enos, Robert Jr, and William. He is survived by his wife; Patricia (Fowble) Pentz, Sister; Anna Gilks, Brothers; Bill and Jon Gilks, Daughter: Christina Grenert (Michael), Son: Richard Jr. (Jeanine), Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Private Family Viewing from 5-6 pm Monday, April 30, with public viewing and Rosary from 6-8 at McCune Garden Chapel 212 Main St Vacaville. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 1, at 10 am at the same location followed by burial at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
