Obituary for Richard "Dick" Reeser, Sr.
Dick passed away on July 10th surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Ft. Cobb, Ok. to Robert (Bob) & Dixie Reeser. He is survived by his beloved wife Louvina (Vi), children Linda (Butch), Nanci, Rich (Kathleen), Donna, grandkids Patrick, Kristine, Melanie (Jim), Katie (Travis), Richard (Tonica), Cheryl (John), several great grandkids and brother Don of Santa Rosa. He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Dixie and siblings Robert, Juanita, Charles, Shirley and son in law Roger Lavallee. Dick served in the Army and did a tour in the Korean war. He was awarded with the Veteran of the Year in 2008 with Dixon American Legion post #208. After returning home he met and married his wife Vi and enjoyed 61 years together. They moved to Dixon in 1960. Dick was a avid sports fan. He loved his 49ers & SF Giants. Over the years he was involved with several Dixon organizations. Such as the American Legion, VFW, Lions Club, Quarterback Club. Dixon Little League, Masons just to name a few. Dick was loved by all who knew him and those whose lives he touched. He loved being around family and friends and will be missed immensely. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17th at Milton Carpenter Funeral home from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, July 18th at 11am at the Dixon United Methodist Church, 209 N. Jefferson, Dixon.
