Obituary for Ricardo (Ricky) Vargas Lopez
Ricardo Vargas Lopez (Ricky), 42, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016 following a brief illness. Now reuniting in heaven with his Father, Jesus “El Cuate” Davila Lopez Sr. Born in Fairfield and raised in Vacaville, in his early years, Ricky demonstrated his creativity through drawing and constructing figurines. He continued into adulthood assembling piñatas. Each one displaying its own uniqueness and reflecting Ricky’s character. When he met his sons’ Mother, Nancy Barbosa, he dedicated himself to passing on his artistic roots to his children. Here to remember Ricky are: his Mother, Ofelia Vargas DeLopez; his two children, for whom he lived, Ricard Lopez Jr. (16) and Anthony Armando Lopez (13); his five siblings, Olga Casado, Esmerelda Lopez-Roark, Jesse Lopez Jr., Fabian Lopez Sr., and Lilliana Garcia. He will be deeply missed by his family. Ricky & Anthony, your Dad will always be by your side. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9th, 5-8pm with Rosary at 7pm at McCune Garden Chapel and mass on Thursday, November 10th, 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment in Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery directly follows the service.
