Obituary for Peggy Kent Dorigatti

Peggy Kent Dorigatti graduated this life on June 22, 2025, after a short but painful battle with cancer. Peggy was born July 13, 1957, in Ogden, Utah, to Grant Burnham Kent and Lorain Isabell Myler (Kent). She was raised in Ogden, graduating from Bonneville High School and Weber State College with a degree in registered nursing. After obtaining her license, she served a Welfare Services mission to Indonesia. After returning from her mission, she met the love of her life, James Robert Dorigatti, and after a brief courtship, they were married in the Ogden Temple. Jim served 21 years in the US Air Force, which gave them the opportunity to travel and live in many places, finally settling in Solano County, California, where Jim retired from the Air Force and Peggy continued working as a nurse for North Bay and then Sutter. Their marriage was blessed with three children and three grandchildren.

Peggy was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served faithfully in various callings wherever she lived. She and Jim made many lifelong friends who will miss her greatly, as will her family left behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Karol DeGroot, brothers Keith Grant Kent and Ricky Ray Kent; nephews Robbie Dee Heninger and Kevin DeGroot. She is survived by her loving husband Jim, sons Phillip James (Claudia) Dorigatti, and Darrel Brian Dorigatti; daughter Emily Nicole Dorigatti; granddaughter Sophia Danielle Divine Dorigatti; grandsons Gabriel Roman James Dorigatti, and James Warren Dorigatti. Also, she is survived by one sister, Judy (Riley) Heninger, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Final arrangements are made by Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon, CA. A visitation will be at the Funeral Home July 9, and the memorial service will be held July 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 305 N. Lincoln. Interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
