Pearl Young, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went home to Jesus on February 1, 2026.
Pearl is survived by her children: Louise (Gary), Betty (David), Edward, and Theodore (Florabelle); seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Young.
As a young woman, Pearl devoted her time as an elementary school teacher in Guangzhou, China. She loved being a teacher.
After being married in China, Pearl and George began their life together in Vallejo, then San Francisco; before settling in Fairfield, California in 1954 where they raised their four children.
They also established and operated the Eastern Café for many decades.
Pearl will be remembered for her deep faith in God, being faithful to her husband, her devotion to her family, and the simple and constant desire to enjoy fresh air and warm sunshine. One of her many favorite things she loved to do was to sing hymns and songs of praise. She valued truth and honesty and always encouraged her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to count their many blessings even in difficult times.
Pearl was grateful and felt deeply blessed by everyone who was a part of her life.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main Street in Vacaville, California.
Interment will be at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery, 1801 Union Avenue located in Fairfield, California.
Memorial donations may be made to: the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (billygraham.org), Family Radio (www.familyradio.org), or In Touch Ministries (www.intouch.org) a few of her favorite charities.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to everyone who blessed Pearl with their love and was a part of her life.
She will be forever in our hearts.
