Obituary for Paul Cope
Paul Cope, 61, passed away peacefully and went Home to be with the Lord while surrounded by loved ones. Born November 15, 1953 in Auburn, CA Paul was the 6th child born to a soon to be family of 11 brothers and sisters. Paul grew up in Vacaville and Elmira. He settled in Vacaville, married and raised 3 children, then later divorced but they remained lifelong friends. Soon after his children grew up, 4 grandkids came along and became his pride and joy. His life goal was to be a good grandpa but he was much more, he excelled and he was their PAPA. He was an involved fun loving show up and do anything for his grandkids kind of PAPA. Paul worked many jobs through his life but found his career in blacksmithing. He worked for Coulter Forge/ Coulter Technology for 35 years. He enjoyed the antics he and his coworkers had over those years. Paul had a love for adventure. From many quad rides in the mountains through rain, mud, and snow to driving all over this beautiful country to see the many sites it had to offer. If he set out to a particular spot, he would not take the same route home. He couldn’t get enough of the little hidden gems he would find along the way. Paul had a love for family as well. Growing up in a big family means extra large sized reunions. He would make every get together he could, especially if good food was involved. He was known to cut up a rug if the song was right. His choice genre was Rock n Roll. Paul could be spotted at the Creekwalk, in Vacaville, enjoying the local bands. Paul had a contagious laugh and at times he could get an entire theater crowd laughing. He was full of life and laughter. That is how he will always be remembered. On Friday, August 28th, 2015 at 10:00 am a Committal will take place at the Vacaville/ Elmira Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00am at Valley Church 5023 Maple Rd in Vacaville.
