Obituary for Pamela Rae Ormaas
Pamela passed away on February 1st at home in the loving arms of her parents Mary and Harry Coburn.Pamels was born at the Travis Air Force Base Hospital. She grew up in Vacaville and in 1977 graduated from Vacaville High School. She attended Sacramento State University and graduated with a degree in business. In 1985 she was awarded her certificate as a Certified Public Accountant. She excelled in both public and private accounting and financial management. In 2008 she became the controller for Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo. She was proud to be a member of the Six Flags team.Pam was a passionate Giants fan and attended many games. Unfortunately she was unable to attend the playoffs or the World Series but she cheered them on to victory from home.Pam was a very loving person and will be remembered by all who shared in her life. Most proud of her is her mother. They shared a unique relationship that Mom will always cherish and sorrowfully miss. Pammy is now in the Lords care.She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Gorkow, and her maternal trandmother, Beatrice Lanier.A funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. in Epiphany Episcopal Church, 300 West St. in Vacaville. Father Stephen Leonetti will officiate. Burial will be private.
