Obituary for Norma Lee Coker
Norma Lee Coker passed away quietly on July 3, 2011, in Vallejo. A long-time resident of Vacaville, Mrs. Coker was born to Frank and Sadie Wilson in Oilton, Oklahoma, on Sept. 3, 1927.Mrs. Coker was the devoted wife of sixty years to George Coker, who preceded her in death. She supported the ALS Association in memory of her late husband, and was a member of the Church of Christ-Solano where she enjoyed the warmth and fellowship of the congregation.She is survived by her son David, daughter Adrianne Micco, daughter-in-law Aileen Kim, grandsons Chahte Micco and Chris Furr, granddaughter-in-law Teresa Furr, granddaughter Linda Napier, great grandchildren Marcus and Elyse Thompson and Samantha Furr, sister Frankie Deffenbaugh, brother David Wilson, many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Max Wilson, and sister Iona McAtee.The family thanks the medical, support, and housekeeping staff of Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Vallejo as well as the staff at Merrill Gardens at Vacaville. The family deeply appreciates Anita Rainey and her staff at St. Olaf's Residential Care Home for their compassion and support.Services will be held on Friday, July 8, at 1 p.m. at the McCune Garden Chapel, located at 212 Main Street in Vacaville.
