Noreatia (Sherrill) Gibson
July 6, 1937 – September 17, 2025
Noreatia (Sherrill) Gibson, 88, known for her warmth, faith, and devotion to family, passed away, surrounded by family, after courageously battling dementia following a stroke. Her children: Randy (Debbie) Green, Mark (Lori) Green, Tamara Martinez-Long. Grandchildren: Tabatha, Reylina, Nathan, Mark, Christina, Michael, Brett, Alexis. Great-grandchildren: Calista, Tyrell, Javontae, Aaryah, Jayden, Mikey, Anaiah, Charlie, Jacob. Great-great-grandchild: Jamir. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, three sisters, and one brother.
She attended Potosi High School in Potosi, Missouri and graduated in 1955. Her early work included employment at the Brown Shoe Factory in Potosi. The family moved to Vacaville in 1962. She was a homemaker for several years, later a server at Downtown Coffee Shop, Milk Farm, Brigadoon Restaurant, Heritage House, and Jason’s Coffee Shop, then retiring in 1992. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, attending church, and cherishing her family.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staff at Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation for their care, love, and attention that they provided, a special thanks to Pretty Joshi, CNA, for the extra love shown.
