Obituary for Norda Stewart
Our beautiful Norda was called in to Heaven on June 4, 2010. Family and friends of Norda Elizabeth Stewart will gather together for a memorial and reception Monday, June 14th at 12 noon at Bethany Lutheran Church, 621 South Orchard in Vacaville.
Norda was born in Santa Cruz on October 21, 1941 to Adron and Dora Tow. She lived in various California towns and eventually in San Francisco where she attended Lincoln High School and met the love of her life, Donald Stewart. They were married on Nordas birthday in 1958 in San Francisco and had a long and wonderful marriage of 51 years. She is survived by her husband Don, three loving daughters and their spouses; Julie Ahlin (Michael Dellamarggio) of West Sacramento, Jayne (Robert Bunting) of Vacaville and Jill (Danny Dunham) of Vacaville, grandchildren Troy Dellamarggio, Anna Ahlin, Nicole (Rick Slusher), Dustin Dellamarggio, Joseph Ahlin, Nicole Tabayoyon, Bobby Bunting, Cody Fowler, and Wyatt Dunham, and great grandchildren Athena Tabayoyon, Nicholas Tabayoyon, and Hudson Slusher.
Vacaville was Nordas home for 42 years and loved to be with her family. Holidays were always special to her and she enjoyed sewing and quilting with the ladies at Bethany, knitting, scrapbooking, reading, singing in the church choir, writing, day trips to Tahoe, Disneyland, and taking care of her grandkids. Norda had careers outside the home working for the Nut Tree and then Santaella Real Estate but her favorite jobs were homemaker and mom. We miss her terribly but know she is safe and comfortable in her new home.
