Neva Ann Thorson, a longtime resident of Vacaville, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026 at the age of 83.
She made Vacaville her home in 1970 and remained deeply connected to the community for more than five decades. She worked for Kaiser for 27 years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Thorson; her brother, Robert Edens; and her sister, Marilyn Martin.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Deborah Bischoff (husband Quentin Bischoff), and Cindy Godfrey. She was a proud grandmother to Allison Bischoff and Mariah Willis Moore, and a cherished great-grandmother to Caroline Newman.
A woman of faith and fellowship, she was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Gamma Psi Sorority and participated in several local organizations, including Saturday Club, Garden Club, and the Benicia Club—groups that reflected her love of friendship, service, and community.
She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, and the many friendships she nurtured throughout her life.
Services
Visitation will be held on February 24 from 4:00–7:00 p.m.
The funeral service will take place on February 25 from 10:30–11:30 a.m. A lunch reception to follow.
