Obituary for Michael Albano
Resident of Pacifica, CA, Michael Albano, a retired San Francisco trucking business owner, passed away peacefully in Vacaville, Monday, October 24, 2016. A native of Buffalo, New York, who moved west at the age of 8 to San Francisco, was the son of Sicilian immigrant parents, Michael and Elizabeth (Maria) Albano. Michael spent most of his years in the trucking business as dispatcher, driver, and then opened his own business, Albano Trucking Company, which he ran with his two sons. He also studied hypnosis and received a Master of Hypnosis certificate in early 1980. Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, and is survived by his brother Russell, who is the last surviving son of six children, Russell, Jerome, Dominic, Michael, Bertha, and Josie. He is also survived by his dear sister-in-law Margaret Comingore, and her loving family from Southern California. He was a proud father of sons’ Michael F. and Stephen M. Albano. His son Michael spent many years living with his father in Pacifica, raising his step-children, Stephany and Joseph with their mother Lorraine. His daughter Laura and son-in-law, Scott Hazelton, have been fortunate to be near him these past several months in Vacaville. His grandchildren, Ryan, Nicole, Jamie, and Gina, and great grandson, Ryan will greatly miss his, love, jokes, and Christmas gatherings. His nephews and nieces were very supportive during his illness and we are grateful. His friends and neighbors in Pacifica have also been helpful to the family. Most people new Michael as a caring man, with an endless sense of humor, who loved his coffee and cigarettes. He will be missed by all of us.
