Obituary for Mary Warrick
Mary Jean Warrick passed away from complications during surgery on February 18th 2014 at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB California. Mary was born on June 16th 1950 in Colchester Vermont and lived in Bennington Vermont with her father Arthur, mother Alma and sister Jeanne. She attended Sacred Heart School and Bennington Catholic High; graduating from Mt Anthony Union High School. In 1969 she married Clifford J Warrick of Hoosick Falls New York, and thus began their 44 year love affair and adventure. She served with her husband at bases around the world including England, Germany and Korea for 30 years, until his retirement at Travis Air Force Base in 1997. She epitomized what an Air Force Wife could be. They made Vacaville their permanent home. Mary loved the green trees against the Golden Hills; the warm dry weather; and the great friends she made in Northern California. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Mary was as talented designer for Ethan Allen for many years; before her medical conditions forced her to leave the job she loved doing. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and most proudly, a grandmother. She is survived by her husband, three children, Stephanie, James, and Jennifer; and 7 grandchildren. A Rosary and viewing is scheduled for Tuesday February 25th at McCune Garden Chapel, on Main Street in Vacaville from 5:00 PM until 8:00PM. Her memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26th at 10:00 at St. Joseph Church in Vacaville. A reception will be held at Mary’s home following the service. Mary’s favorite charity is St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Donations in her name to St. Jude’s in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
