Obituary for Mary Louise Woolf
Mary Lou Woolf, a resident of Dixon for over 60 years, peacefully passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, on August 22, 1929, Mary Lou McNerney moved to Hayward, California, when she was 18 and soon thereafter met and married the love of her life, Boyd Woolf. They moved to Dixon in 1953 where she quickly fell in love with the town. In addition to raising four children, she managed the accounting for Woolf Construction. Besides working the numerous community projects that Boyd volunteered for, she was also a life-member of the Soroptimist International Club of Dixon.

Mary Lou is survived by her four children: Doug Woolf (Bonnie), Russ Woolf (Barb), Suzy Norris (Larry), and Donna Carrasco (Joe). She leaves behind six grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. She is also survived by one brother, Jack McNerney (Jean) of Venus, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd, her sister, Peg Freeman and brother Bill McNerney.

Mary Lou's sweet demeanor and warm heart will be missed by many. She's often remembered by others as an avid walker who always had a smile on her face. Her many loves included her family, friends, the Soroptimist International of Dixon, and the Dixon Community Church family.

We want to thank the staff of House of Plenty Home Care of Dixon and especially Maggie, her primary care giver.

Services will be held at the Dixon Community Church on Wednesday, July 19 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at the Silveyville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to: A Touch from Above, Soroptimist International of Dixon, PO Box 472, Dixon, CA, 95620, or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at https://www.michaeljfox.org/.
