Marvin Larayne Braa, 80, from Vacaville since 1976, passed away peacefully in his home on May 9, 2024. He was born in Cooperstown, North Dakota, on July 18th, 1944, to Viola Isabelle Kringler and Hildor Luther Braa.
Marvin is survived by his wife Shiela Braa, two brothers, three sons, two daughters, two grandchildren, and his beloved best friend, Vinnie, his dog. He served as a teacher until he followed his passion for horticulture and became an award-winning Landscape Architect running his own business, Marvins Gardens, for over 30 years.
Over his life, he enjoyed camping, traveling, making jewelry, golf, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends, family, and The Church. Marvin dedicated his life to the betterment of himself and those around him, influencing us with his knowledge, experiences, "Marvinisms", and his love. He will be sorely missed by all.
Service will be held Friday, May 24, 3pm at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1011 Ulatis Drive, Vacaville.
