Obituary for Mark Shawn Wells
Mark Shawn Wells unexpectedly went to meet his Lord on March 4. Mark was born at Myrtle Beach AFB, South Carolina to Doris and James Wells. He is survived by his parents; brother, Andrew (Jennifer) Wells; sister, Rebecca (David) Tom; nephew, Ethan Tom; niece, Claire Tom; uncles, Charles (Anne) Plyler, Thomas (Carrie) Wells, Bruce (June) Wells, David (Todosia) Wells and great aunt, Etta Rae Plyler. He leaves behind his best friend, Keith Nelson, the clients and staff of Hope House, Vacaville and the many people he interacted with throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oliver and Edna Plyler; uncle, Ronnie Plyler of Lancaster, SC; grandmother, Catherine Coyle and uncle, Logan Hotchkiss of Florida. Mark attended various schools for persons with disabilities, including one in San Antonio and Dallas, TX (he was an avid Cowboys fan), Peapack, NJ, Armijo High School, Irene Larson School and Solano College. He also attended programs at Vacaville CO-OP and PACE. Mark was a very happy person in spite of his disabilities and got along very well with the people he came in contact with. His happy attitude and infectious smile had a positive effect on everyone. A memorial service will be held at Hope House, 6996 Leisure Town Road, Vacaville, 11 a.m., Saturday, March 14. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marks Growing Center, the Cerebral Palsy Association or a charity of choice . Burial services will be private.
