Obituary for Marilyn Cardinell
Marilyn Cardinell, 83, of Vacaville, passed away at home in her sleep on Friday, Oct. 1, after a brave fight with lung cancer. She was born on Jan. 14, 1927 in Chicago, Ill.Marilyn was a noon duty supervisor at Hemlock Elementary School for 10 years and a retail clerk at Ross Department store in Vacaville for 27 years. She loved to shop! She was one of Rosss best customer. She loved her family, friends and community of Vacaville where she resided for 45 years. Her smiling face and loving actions will be missed by all who knew and loved her.Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Melvin M. Cardinell of 27 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dinese Cardinell Christopher and Tom R. Christopher; son Jerry Cardinell; brother, Tom Brinston; and 5 grandchildren, Mia of Plymouth, England, James of Albany, Calif., Myles of Albany, Calif., Justin of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Joshua of Tustin, Calif.A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. at Epiphany Episcopal Church, 300 West St. in Vacaville. Officiating will be Father Steve Leunetti assisted by arch deacon Cookie Clark. Reception immediately following service at Marilyns home in Vacaville.
