Obituary for Lois J. Zirzow
Lois J. Zirzow, of Vacaville, CA, wife of Robert Zirzow, passed away at home with family on May 30th, 2019. She was 73.
Survived by Husband Bob, sons Craig and Curt, daughter in-law Cammie, granddaughter Eliza, brother Ned, nieces Joy, Janice, Cindy, Mary and nephews Joel, Jim, and David.
Originally from Greendale, Wisconsin and West Dundee, Illinois, she has lived in Vacaville for the past 33 years.
An avid pet lover, her home was always full of doggy love which she shared with volunteer time at the local SPCA.
Lois was also active along with husband Bob at the Travis Air Museum and received the “Gift Shop Volunteer of the Year Award” in 2016.
Neighbors always appreciated her fun, inventive Christmas and Halloween home decorations.
A talented needlepoint artist with remarkable patience and dexterity, she has gifted friends and family with her works of astonishingly detailed realism.
Lois was famous among family for her Holiday celebrations that included movie trivia contests and “flying toy monkey street launches!”
Equally at home at a poker table or fishing with her sister in the Florida Keys, Lois loved the challenge of competition.
A lifelong homemaker, Lois also worked for Shell Oil, Kragan Auto Parts, The Maritime Academy. Macy’s and as a real estate agent in Illinois.
