Linda Kay Cappel
May 9, 1943 – July 26, 2022
Linda Kay Cappel, 79, of Vacaville passed away at home after a long illness with her husband, George, by her side.
Linda graduated from Vacaville High School in 1961. She and George were high school sweethearts and married in 1962, right after high school.
She held several jobs including Basic Vegetable, American Home Foods and worked as a floral delivery person with Rose Florist. Even though she worked full-time, Linda was also a homemaker.
Linda loved to quilt. She won an award at the Dixon May Fair for her beautiful cathedral window quilt which took her 3 ½ years to complete. She loved her family, enjoyed camping, and exploring.
Linda is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, George Clayton Cappel; daughter Brenda Dawn Cappel; son Jesse Clayton Cappel; granddaughter Hope Berensen and sister Jo McClain.
Linda was loved by all. Everyone adored her. George endeared her as “God’s angel”.
Memorial service will be held at McCune Garden Chapel Thursday, September 8 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Hospice in Linda’s memory.
