Obituary for Lidail Silveira Nunes
On Saturday, December 1 st , 2018, our mother, Lidail Silveira Nunes, passed away at the age of 87 years old and almost 10 months. Our Mom was born and raised in Norte Pequeno, Sao Jorge, Azores, and immigrated to California in 1968. She was a small business owner in both the Azores and the United States. Our Mother loved to sing, dance (Chamarrita), and spend time in her garden. She was an amazing cook, loved to laugh and socialize and there was always room to set another plate at her table. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Faustino Nunes, her son Manual Pedro Nunes and her daughter Maria de Fatima Nunes. She is survived by her daughter Maria Cesaltina da Silveira Nunes Dinis, and her spouse Kelly Louise Anders; and her daughter M. Bernardete S. Nunes, and her spouse Jerry Keen. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Maria Carmel Nunes, grandson Gary Steven Nunes, and two great-grandchildren Jonah and Ben Nunes. As well as her sister Serafina Aurora Ramos, brothers Aires Vitorino Santos and Silveiro Vitorino Santos, sister-in-laws Albertina Santos and Celina Santos, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. A celebration of her life, including the rosary, will be held at Milton Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 569 N 1st St, Dixon, CA 95620 on Friday, December 7 th , 2018 with visitation from 5 to 8 pm and the rosary at 6:30 pm. On Saturday, December 8 th , 2018 at 10 AM a mass will be held in her honor at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, 105 S 2nd St, Dixon, CA 95620. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or to the Catholic Church for masses in her honor.
