Obituary for Leonard J. Altieri
Leonard Joseph Altieri (Junior) passed away peacefully on January 1, 2017 at the age of 88. No services will be held at his request.
Leonard worked at Beelard and Burton for 19 years. He then went on to work at both Stith and Shellworth Chevrolet for 31 years.
Leonard was born, raised and lived his entire life in Vacaville, where he and his beloved wife Audean lovingly raised their two children, Leonard and Diana. Leonard’s greatest joy was his family. He and his wife Audean, who were inseparable, would often spend time in Dixon watching many sporting and school events of their grandchildren.
Lovingly known as Papa, first and foremost, he was a family man devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a humble man full of love, generosity, understanding, and integrity. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, and his big, warm and loving smile. He will be sadly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
Leonard is survived by his children: son, Leonard and his wife Susie Altieri of Dixon, daughter, Diana and her husband, Bob Bacinett of Napa. Six grandchildren: Sonia and husband, Jake Boekee, Joe and wife, Anna Bacinett, Sara and husband, Jose Gutierrez, Brian Bacinett and Rachel, Stacie and husband, Phil Alarcón, and Matt Altieri. Seven great-grandchildren: Grace, Lily and Ben Boekee, Zoe Bacinett, Nico and Alina Alarcón and Bryce Bacinett.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Audean Altieri, his parents, Leonardo and Minnie Altieri and brothers, Frank and Gerald Altieri.
