Obituary for Lawrence Paul Inabnett
Lawrence Paul Inabnett of Fairfield passed away peacefully at the age of 83. He was born on November 17, 1931 in Bienville, LA to Henry and Mary Inabnett. Lawrence served 20 years in the US Air Force starting as a cook, moving up to an aircraft maintenance instructor and completing his career as a flight engineer. He worked 20 years as a machinist at Alameda Naval Station and also worked a year at Mare Island. Lawrence loved to fish, ride motor cycles, camping with Vallejo Moose Campers, water skiing, boating, playing bridge with family and friends and dancing. He loved being a member of the Vallejo Moose Lodge 468. He was a member for 50 years, served as governor twice and also served on the ritual team, something he enjoyed very much. He served on the CA/NV state board as a membership chairman. In May of 2000 he received the Pilgrim Degree. Few are chosen and he felt very honored to be among the chosen few. Lawrence is survived by his wife of 64 ½ years, Delores; daughters, Teri Inabnett and Kay Hoyt; sons, Michael and Mark Inabnett as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Inabnett. A celebration of Lawrence’s life will be on Saturday, July 11th at 11am at the Vallejo Moose Lodge, 337 Nebraska St., Vallejo. Pilgrim ritual members will officiate the ceremony. He will be interred at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon at a later date. Friends and family may make donations in memory of Lawrence to a charity of their choosing.
