Obituary for Lawauna Snead
Lawauna Snead stepped into the presence of Jesus on July 23, 2011. She was born in Ashtola, Texas and resided in Vacaville, Calif. for the last 32 years after moving from El Sobrante. She loved her church (The Mission), people and life. She spent her time in service as a volunteer at her church and with the Northbay Hospital Guild. She was with the Northbay Guild for 11 years and held the position of president for four years.
Lawauna was regarded as a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother full of wisdom and deep in her love for God. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Alvin E. Snead ; son , Edward Snead ; parents, Lona and Dowl Peck and sister, Leatice Wall . She is survived by her daughters, A. Dale Snead (Richard Christensen) of Omaha, NE and Lona Langston (William) of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Johnny Snead (Patsy) of Blacksburg, VA and Tim Snead of Novato, CA; grandchildren , Aaron, Jessica and Janette Christensen, Peter Langston, Barbara Biagin, Paul Snead and Steven Snead; 11 great-grandchildren ; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Peck (Ramona) and Lloyd Peck (Bobbie) of OR; brother-in-law Frank Wall of OK
A visitation will be held today from 5 - 8 p.m. with a Funeral Service on Thursday July 28, at 10 a.m. both at McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St., Vacaville. Burial will follow at Skyview Memorial Lawn in Vallejo, CA
