Obituary for Julia C. Frederick
Julia C. Frederick went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2012. She was 96 years of age. Julia was born to Issac and Carrie Clover of Knox, Pa., on Jan. 19, 1916. She had six siblings, all of whom preceded her in death. She married Claude C. 'Freddie' Frederick on Sept. 20, 1949. He was in the Air Force and they lived at numerous facilities throughout the US. Julia was a civil service employee and worked as a cashier supervisor for the base commissaries. She earned many accommodations and awards for her knowledge, expertise and innovation while performing her duties. When her husband retired in 1972, they continued to reside in Vacaville, Calif. Julia was a charter member of the Cowtown Campers Good Sam Club, member of the Garden Club and numerous fraternal organizations. After her husbands death in 2003, she continued to live at the El Matador Mobile Home park until 2009 when she moved to an assisted living facility in Grass Valley, Calif. While in Vacaville, she loved the time spent with friends and neighbors, especially children. She was a friend to all and was affectionately knows as 'Grandma Julie'. Services will be conducted at the McCune Garden Chapel, 212 Main St., Vacaville, Calif., 10 a.m., on May 22, 2012.
