Obituary for Joyce C. Burley
Joyce C Burley, age 89 lived in Dixon, CA, since 1992. Born Jan. 24, 1923 in North Dakota. Joyce worked for the University of Washington as a book binder retiring in 1988 after 20 years of service. She also served in the US Marine Corp. Joyce loved RVing with her husband and had been active in the Good Sam Club. She was an avid WA Husky Football fan and had season tickets for many years. She was also a member of, Women of the Moose, Women's Improvement Club and Dixon United Methodist Church. Joyce is survived by sons, Patrick (Dene) Burley of Dixon, CA., and Michael L Burley of Stockton, CA.; two grandsons, George (Julie) Burley of Dixon, and Jeff (Muffy Davis) Burley of Salt Lake City UT.; three great granddaughters, Kayla, Hillary and Glenda Noelle; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice P Burley, they were married for 41 years; her sisters, Theo, Mildred and Lillie; brothers, Steve Silas and Berge. A Memorial Service will be held at Dixon United Methodist Church, on Nov. 27, at 11 a.m., Pastor Cathy Morris will officiate.
