Obituary for Joseph Roszkos
Mr. Joseph Roszkos, 86, of Vacaville, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, May 5 at Winsor House. He was born on Nov. 18, 1923 in Varoslod Hungry.Joseph was a carpenter who worked as a general foreman for public works dept. at Alameda Navel Air Station and Treasure Island before retiring in 1984. Mr. Roszkos was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also loved playing golf on the executive course at Green Tree golf course.Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Roy Moger. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia Roszkos; brother, Louis Roszkos of Walnut Creek, Calif.; sons, Ronald Wallwin of Libertyville, Ill, Brian Moger of Vacaville, Calif.; daughters-in-law, Betty Wallwin of Libertyville, Ill, Laura Moger Hansen of Moorpark Calif.; nieces, Bonnie Boton of Ill; and Tina Martin of Ill; nephews, Bob Roszkos and David Roszkos of Calif.; grandchildren, Dana Barnes, Dawn Withrow, Jesse Moger, Andrew Moger of Calif., Joseph Wallwin of Ill; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Makenzie, Alexis, Reece, Tatiana, Marlee, all of Calif., and long time friends Adams and Mert Lentini of Vacaville.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 2 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel with Margaretmary Stallor of Asera Care Hospice officiating. Contributions can be made to Asera Care Hospice, 1001 Galaxy way, Ste. 101 Concord, CA 94520.
