Joseph Albertazzi of Dixon died October 12, 2024 at Kaiser Hospital in Vacaville due to complications from a severe traumatic brain injury. He was surrounded by his family in his last hours.
Joe was born in Flagstaff, Arizona to Dr. Victor and Mary Albertazzi and was raised in Davis, CA where he attended St James Elementary School and Emerson Junior High School. He graduated from Jesuit High School in Sacramento.
As a child, Joe showed a keen interest in constructing things, and his first blueprints came from a children’s encyclopedia. Driven by a determination to make it on his own, he completed a ten-year apprenticeship in construction and obtained his contractor’s license. He started his own business, Albertazzi Construction, Inc., which became one of the leading house construction and remodeling companies in Davis, Dixon, Woodland and the surrounding areas. He dedicated himself to excellence in his craft. Joe’s technical expertise, enthusiasm for his work, and generosity of spirit were well-known to his clients and business associates. Many of his employees developed their own careers under his tutelage.
Joe is predeceased by his sister Connie Martin. He is survived by his wife, Dennia Albertazzi of Dixon, and his two children Jiana and Nicholas. His surviving immediate family members include his parents, Dr. Victor and Mary Albertazzi of Roseville, CA, and his siblings, Cathy Finnie of Spokane, WA, Teresa Albertazzi of Davis, CA, Tony Albertazzi of Bend, OR, Angela Albertazzi of Woodland, CA and Anne Marie Albertazzi of Midland, MI.
