Obituary for Joseph Grannen Jr.
Joseph Luke Grannen, Jr., 60, of Vacaville, passed away at his home on August 25, 2015.
Joe was born March 9, 1955 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Joe and Corinne Grannen. Joe has been a lifelong resident of Vacaville since 1959.
He was very much loved by the community as owner and chef at Joe’s Creekside Cafe with his wife Karen for over 30 years. When he was not serving up delicious food, he loved to spend time with his family and play golf every Tuesday with his friends.
He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Julie (Caitlin), son Nick (Denise), stepson Don Berry (Angie), mother Corinne, sister Kathy Robison (Ron), grandchildren Aiden and Macy, and nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death son, Ryan; father, Joe Sr.; and brother Michael.
A memorial service and celebration of Life for Joe will be held Saturday, September 5th at 2 pm at McCune Garden Chapel. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up to assist the family – gofundme.com/hq2nkey8
