Born on September 26, 1938, in Grand Junction, Colorado, John was a man of remarkable character and conviction. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both tranquil and turbulent times. He was a pillar of strength and a beacon of kindness, whose unwavering belief and compassionate spirit touched the lives of many.
John Jones proudly served his country as a dedicated member of the United States Navy. His service was marked by honor and commitment, and he carried the values he learned in the Navy throughout his life. His patriotism was matched only by his love for his family, and his legacy of service and sacrifice will be remembered with deep respect and admiration.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Sandra Alice Jones, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their faith and the depth of their commitment to each other.
John leaves behind his cherished children, Johanna, Monica and Kevin. John was a proud and loving grandfather and a delighted great-grandfather. His family was the center of his world, and he took great joy in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to his immediate family, John will be deeply missed by his extended family, his devoted church community, and his many friends. His life was a testament to his deep faith, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service to honor John Jones’ life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2024, at 11 AM at Vacaville Christian Church, located at 66 Vine Street in Vacaville, California 95688. The Viewing is on Monday, August 19th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at McCune Garden Chapel located at 212 Main Street in Vacaville. The Burial will be on August 20th at 10:15am at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery located at 5810 Midway Road in Dixon
The family invites all who know him to join in celebrating a life devoted to faith, service, and love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Church of Vacaville in his memory.
