Obituary for John Edward Angier
John Edward Angier, 78, a resident of Vacaville since December 1969, passed away on January 31, at home after dealing with cancer and other health illnesses. John was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. John was born on January 9, 1935, in Utica, New York to George James and Rita Delores (Philips) Angier. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1952 and joined the United States Air Force soon thereafter. John met Wenonah Marie Martin in December of 1954 and they were married in April 1956, while he was stationed at Whiteman AFB, Missouri. They had been happily married for more than 56 years. John was a retired M/SGT and proud veteran of the United States Air Force; having served more than 20 years and in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the USAF he attended Solano Community College where he earned an AS degree in Marketing. John was the owner/operator of J & W Lawn and Garden Equipment in Vacaville for 33 years. John volunteered for the Veterans Hall (VFW) and was the former Commander of the VFW and the American Legion. John and his wife, Wenonah, were very active and involved with Boys State and Girls State for the past 15 years. John was also the recipient of numerous Veterans’ Awards and received the Vacaville Tribute to Seniors Award in 2001. John enjoyed football and baseball. He was an avid fan of the SF 49ers, SF Giants and NY Yankees. John especially enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren at their games and various school events. John Angier is survived by his wife Wenonah Angier, their six children, Cindy Beck (Spouse Ray Beck), Dolores Conroy (Spouse Dan Conroy), John Angier Jr., Lynn Seals (Spouse Roger Seals Jr.), Martin Angier (Spouse Marcy Angier), and Lyle Angier (Spouse Cynthia Angier); 12 grandchildren, Elizabeth Seals, Amber Seals Quinn (Spouse Aaron Quinn), Alex Angier, Clint Conroy, Kevin Conroy, Amy Seals Rhodes, Raymond Beck II, Christopher Beck, Tabitha Angier, Alexis Angier, Joseph Angier and Jonathan Angier; and 6 great-grandchildren, Chloey Seals, Zyere Rhodes, Trinity Rhodes, Dean Seals Quinn, Mya Rhodes, and Elijah Cooper II; four siblings, Mary Hauck, Charles Angier, Joyce Smith and Dennis Angier; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends that he loved. John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rita Angier, and four siblings, Robert Angier, Bernice Griffin, George R. Angier, and Joan Griffiths.
Cemetery: Burial to follow mass at 11:30a.m. with full Military Honors at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. A reception will be held at 1:00p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, 549 Merchant St., Vacaville, CA 95688.

Visitation: Family and friends are invited to attend a family visitation and viewing at McCune’s Garden Chapel,Wednesday, February 6 from 4 to 8p.m.
Service: A Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Thursday, February 7, 9:30a.m., At St. Joseph’s Church.
